Arm products manufactures a range of resistance welding transformers[water-cooled and epoxy encapsulated] from 3-200 kva. Due to resin encapsulation, the winding of the transformer is held rigidly and prevents mechanical forces acting on individual turns due to strong surges of very high currents. All resistance-welding transformers are provided with thermal cut outs embedded in epoxy at heat sensitive points of the windings to guard against inadvertent heating of the coils, caused by water flow failure. The vb-ms series of multi spot-welding transformers are specially produced to deliver impedance-matched power to the welding heads. The vb-mh series of micro head transformers are designed to give a high short circuit current with very low impedance specially suited for non-ferrous welding applications. The vb series for linear head stationery resistance-welding transformers possess high capacities. These are designed to deliver high welding currents and to withstand the stresses developed due to these currents. The pa-s series for suspended transformers are ideal for delivering the required current with higher efficiency, resulting in lower running costs.
