In both the series the table movement is controlled hydraulically. The ahd series has an additional feature where by the down feed of the grinding wheel can be automated. In this case the total amount to be ground & the amount to be ground in each pass are individually set by two separate slip rings. Once the machine has been set the job is automatically ground without any manual interference or the need to calculate the number of passes. The amount per pass can also be changed on the fly to fit in different grinding conditions. Extra, slot/plunge-grinding modes can be selected. Overall, this arrangement results in enhancing efficiencies & exactness, with minimized dependence on skilled labour.
