The wet cake is pulverized and fed to a stream of hot air traveling at high velocity. In Flash Dryer, the drying takes place immediately due to the very large surface exposed. The velocity of the hot air is used to convey the material through a drying duct where remaining moisture is removed and the dried material is transferred to a cyclone separator.
