Lamba press & shears supplies mechanical press brakes in various models with capacities ranging from 25 to 200 tonne. The frames of the mechanical press brakes are well designed, sturdy, and made of steel. The gears and pinions provided with the mechanical press brakes are precisely constructed from high quality carbon and alloy steels, mounted on shafts through splines and operate in oil bath in completely enclosed housings. The two speed gear change system of the mechanical press brakes from lamba press & shears allows an additional slow speed generally needed for bending acute angles involving higher energy per bend as well as to prevent whipping of large sheets. The twin drive system included in the mechanical press brakes provides a balanced transmission of torque on the eccentrics. A high torque, low inertia pneumatic clutch is standard on all models of mechanical press brakes from lamba press & shears. This allows high frequency of clutch operation and also makes more flywheel energy available for work. The powerful and failsafe spring operated, pneumatically released brake is interlocked with the clutch. All models of mechanical press brakes are offered with a motorised ram adjustment. The drive gearboxes are totally confined and carry oil sumps for lubrication of gears and bearings. The ram adjustment gear boxes of the mechanical press brakes from lamba press & shears are filled with grease.
