Surface discolouration[bluing] from tig welding and spot welds can be removed instantly and the original mill finish can be restored, requiring no further treatment. It is an alternative to passivation with pickling paste [a slow process using very aggressive and hazardous\ acids] or abrasives [slower and the original finish is difficult to match]. It is ideal for food processing and restaurant equipment, hospital equipment, airplanes, boats and buses, electrical and electronic equipment enclosures, railings, banisters and ornamental fixtures, pharmaceutical and refinery plants, tanks, vats and process piping and all other stainless steel fabricators.
