Micro engineering works offers a versatile, high speed [20,000 rpm], bench type precision drilling machine for drilling holes up to 3mm diameter. Its hardened and ground spindle is driven by a specially designed belt pulley arrangement, powered with a single phase mains operated motor to achieve high speed for pcb drilling and other micro drilling operations. Total quill travel of 30 mm, combined with the 150 mm vertical adjustment of drilling head along its hardened and ground column give versatility to drilling in objects of various heights. Precision high speed imported spindle bearings are enclosed in accurately lapped bores of its hardened and ground quill that form the basis of guarantee for extremely accurate machine operations. Conveniently placed controls, compact structure and precision geometry are the other features. The machine is usual with either flexible collet chuck or three jaw self- tightening chuck. This machine is useful in drilling small and very small holes in high precision components, tool manufacture, prototype and research work, laboratory work, batch manufacture in the electronic, jewellery, clock making and related industries. These come in two models; 101 pdm m [for mechanical work] and 201 pdm p for [pcb work].
