Screw / coil conveyors from the miven mayfran conveyors is the simplest and oldest form of chip conveying. Screw flights welded on a central shaft push the chips along the screw axis when made to rotate at a constant speed. The screw or coil conveyors can be used in such machines where the chips are required to be cleared from the machine bed in a narrow space.
