Milltex engineering has introduced nytra, nylon sandwiched flat belting for transmission. This is rubberised belting, made of perlon cloth. Using these, drives up to 100 m/sec are possible. And they absorb maximum shock and peak loads. They are virtually stresslessand reduce fatigue of machine to the minimum thanks to different thickness of plies. High co-efficient of friction give better griping properties and bearing loads are reduced because of the lightweight characteristics of the belting. These beltings are suitable for power transmission from 0.1 to 5,000 hp and maximum service life. These belts find application in machine tools and engineering, precision instruments, spinning, paper and pulp manufacturing, marble and stone processing, light duty conveyors, printing press and packaging industries.
