Mag tools offers hydrocyclone coolant filters, which remove both ferrous and non-ferrous contaminates. They work on the principle of vortex. The dirty coolant from the tank is pumped using a high pressure pump into the hydrocyclone. A vortex is created in the cone due to the centrifugal action. The clean coolant rises up and the swarf is collected at the bottom of the cone. The hydrocyclone cone is anufactured from steel. Since there are no moving parts, it is maintenance-free. It covers capacities ranging from 65 to 500 lpm. It has uses in the rolling mills and wire drawing machines.
