Macintel has designed and developed a bolt-on cnc attachment, model mini profiturn-i & ii, to convert conventional small size centre lathes to slant bed cnc versions. Mini profiturn ii is a slant bed cnc attachment for upgradation of small size lathes and mini profiturn i is flat bed cnc attachment specially for gee dee weiler and similar type of small centre lathes. It is not necessary to dismantle the parent lathe and recondition it as in case of normal retrofit, for giving the capability of a full cnc lathe. This unique attachment is an extremely cost effective solution with quality inputs like fagor cnc system, baldor ac servomotors and digital drives, centrally located precision hardened and ground ball screws, linear motion guide ways, etc. This conversion from a conventional lathe can be done in less than a week. These attachments can be successfully used for components today being produced on cam operated automats.
