Alpen process engineers offers wiped film evaporators [wfe]. These are manufactured to meet liquid-liquid and partial solid-liquid separation in chemicals, drugs and pharmaceuticals, food processing [including oil extraction], and plastics industries. The evaporators incorporate the latest in wiped-film technology. They feature a unique rotor configuration, the wipers and liquid-entrainment separator in a manner, which allows short-path distillation. An internal condenser reduces the pressure drop and permits high vapour flow rates to be achieved with relative ease. It includes suitable ports for the feed, product residue discharge, distillate discharge, vacuum connection, jacket inlet/outlet/drain and condenser cooling medium inlet/outlet. It finds application in vacuum distillation of heat sensitive materials and viscous material, evaporation of organic compounds [like solvents in solvent recovery], decolourising of materials of medium and high molecular weights, concentrating solids in solution [like in food industry, etc] and purification of drugs.
