The Access Control Proximity Cards are identification cards which contain information that can be detected by readers placed in proximity to them. In each card an antenna is embedded which transmits information encoded as a radio signal. A proximity card reader positioned between approximately 2.5 inches receives this signal and grants or denies access accordingly.
