Tap Density Meter is manufactured by Smart Instruments Co. Pvt. Ltd. The Tap Density Meter of model Smart Tap 40 is used to measure the tap density of any powder. In this meter, sample is placed in the graduated glass cylinder of 100 ml capacity and is mounted on the platform designed to keep the same. Snap fit arrangement holds the cylinder in perfect position. Rotation of the platform while tapping helps to keep the powder level in flat position for reading. To ensure the free drop of the cylinder from the required height, the holder is provided with friction free bearing. Before starting the tapping, initial volume and weight of the material is noted. After that the tapping counts is been set with the help of the counter from 1 to 9999 counts. Then tapping is started. After reaching the set counts, automatically the tapping stops and the user have to note the final volume.
