Essen engineers introduces a wide range of metal finishing and polishing products. Spiral bands or abrasive sleeves/spiral bands /drum sanders as they are commonly known are made of spirally wound abrasive paper of special structure with an interlocking base cloth giving these sleeves a prominent flexibility to work in difficult contours/profiles. These are mounted on a serrated rubber holder which while rotated expands thereby tensioning the abrasive sleeves and increasing tool resilience giving the operator extreme flexibility for contouring in intricate profiles/cavities in dies, moulds, components, etc, and imparts a high degree of finish/polish as it utilises its full width and guarantees equal grinding giving a uniform chatter free and burr-free surface. Abrasive sleeves are perfectly suited for finishing/polishing of plastic and forging moulds/dies, spot-welds, cast parts, welded joints, pipe ends, machined components, etc. They can be used on steels, stainless steels, hastalloys, titanium, whs, and non-ferrous materials. These are recommend for use at rpms between 40,000 to 7,000 on pneumatic grinders, high speed electric grinders and flexible shaft grinders.In different sizes these are available.
