The test level depends upon the working voltage of insulation material or electrical apparatus or as per ISI requirements. The high voltage breakdown tester dot 4500 is used by manufacturers of Insulation Material, Transformers, Switchgear, Varnishes, Pump, Motors, Electrical apparatus, Cables, Wires, Capacitors, Electrical and Electronics components.

The high voltage breakdown tester dot 4500 includes the following general specifications:

• Meter : Analog [moving coil] separate meter for voltage & current

• Accuracy : +/- 5% [ for 10% to 100% ranges]

• Audio buzzer : Buzzer turns ON when HT is ON

• Ht termination: By HT probe for 5 k V & 10 k V models only. Transformer output pin is terminated with isolators for above 10 kV.

• Tripp current selection: Selectable in three steps of 25%, 50% &100%.

• Ht on: Red lamp indication.

• Ht off : Green lamp indication

• Insulation breakdown: Yellow lamp remains on after insulation breakdown takes place.
