Vishal-syn ac synchronous motors are low speed [60 rpm to 50 hz], continuous duty type with torque ranges available from 2 kg-cm to 60 kg-cm in 11 models having instant start/stop and reversible characteristics. They consist of 2-phase wound stator and permanent magnet hybrid rotor, housed in a powder-coated body. For 240 v 50 hz ac supply, a phase shift rc network is to be connected in series with one of die stator windings. The motor direction is reversed by changing the phase shift network from one winding to the other by means of single pole three-position switch. These motors can be stalled without overheating because starting and running currents are almost the same. All the motors are tested for 2 kv hv test and several on/off operations for reliability. These motors are mainly used in servo controlled voltage stabilisers, motorised variacs, valve controls, modulating motors, timing belt drives, remote control of switches, edge guide controls in textile machines, antenna drives, automated welding equipments, display tables, furnace damper controls, x-ray scanning, photo film developing/printing machines, and still film projectors. For servo application, motors with 12 teeth 20 dp delrin gears and both ends extended shaft can be provided on request. Geared motors are also provided on request.
