• Sd series cage motors have high staring and pullout torques and accelerate the load quickly. Wound rotor motors have high pullout torques.

• Sd series motors conform to is: 12075 for vibration level.

• The cast iron stator body is robust and shock resistant.

• The rotor is wound, generally with enameled copper wire or strip with class "f" insulation. End windings are banded with non-magnetic steel wire to withstand electro-magnetic forces. For special applications high tensile epoxy tape is employed for banding.

• The core is made from low loss, high permeability, varnish insulated electrical grade sheet steel. Stampings are hydraulically pressed, then clamped to form a rigid structure.

• Grease lubricated antifriction bearings of same size are used at de and nde and can be interchanged if called for. Bearings have 90% survival life of a minimum of 40,000 working hours for drive transmission direct through flexible coupling.

• End-shields on de and nde are identical and can be interchanged, if called for, minimizing the users inventory.
