The jiva-5700/5800 series touch terminal by posiflex is the type for low-cost, highly effective terminal easily operates various kinds of customer applications such as hospitality, retail, kiosk, and e-commerce on two-tier structure. With a unique space saving footprint design, the jiva-5700/5800 series functions for both countertop and wall mount operation.

The jiva-5700 is designed particularly for thin-client applications supporting both windows ce/xp embedded. The jiva-5800 contains a standard 3.5" hard disk drive and can be utilized as a fat-client in the client/server architecture and supports windows 98/nt/2000/xp embedded/linux.

The jiva-5700/5800 series solid design is made to withstand the rigors of daily usage in the harshest environments. Thanks to the stylish design and user-friendly considerations, it is most suitable for the hospitality-working environment to prevent grease and debris accumulation thereby extending the life of the terminal.

• Win ce.Net or win xp embedded os can be preloaded on compact flash memory card for jiva-5700 series application.

• Auto boot rom can be supported.

• Spill proof water-resistant structure protects circuitry and allows for easy cleaning.

• A patented finger release lever "geared locking mechanism" easily adjusts the lcd panel`s tilt angle from 17.5º degrees to 87.5º degrees.

• Security lock prevents unauthorized access to input/output data devices.

• In order to prevent accidentally powering down the system, the power switch can be programmed to be only "turn on" or can be powered on via lan or modem.
