R mansukhlal & company has introduced morse taper drill chucks [split sleeve] for holding straight shank drills. These chucks come with shanks [o/d] mt-1, mt-2, mt-3, mt-4 or mt-5, and i/d according to size of the drill. The chucks are too compact that they do not project outside the spindle bore and give utmost accuracy. These split taper chucks have super gripping action. The milled flats on the drill shank are engaged in the slots of the chucks for a positive drive that avoids slipping and tool damage. Rm drill chucks are primarily manufactured for driving straight shank drills, but are usable for holding reamers, deburring tools, counter bores, end mill and similar tools having flattened straight shank.
