Alagappaa engineering company has introduced high temperature fan. It handles exhaust medium from furnace. The fan is designed using computer-aided design with proper selection of material to withstand static, dynamic stresses and creep. The high temperature fan has double ribbed spider for supporting the blades and has a special design hollow shaft with on-line water cooling arrangement to remove the heat from the shaft. The fan also uses high temperature greases as lubricant and stainless steel impeller to withstand 600°c and corrosion. It has special guides for guided thermal expansion of the casing and to avoid distortion of the static parts.
