The range of products includes Crewel embroidery on various materials like, cotton, linen, jute, matka and organza silks for floor, furniture, window and bed. Double Ply and Single Ply Fabric classification is done based on the embroidery yarn used to stitch design on them. Double Ply: This is fine quality double fold wool twisted yarn, with little sheen on it. As it is very fine, it takes about 60% more stitches to cover same amount of work as the other quality. It also gives room for more colours to be used to create shade effect. Overall, it gives sharp optical image to embroidery and the work is usually done on duck fabric. Single Ply: It has traditional crewel embroidery in relatively thicker wool. The edges are not very sharp but give excellent rustic image. The embroidery is usually done on handloom Dosooti fabric.
