Trinity engineering is a provider of equipment in power factor and power/energy management. Accuvar is a kvar based controller for switching lt capacitors, to bring the inductive loss component of the system to near zero. The unit is very user-friendly and flexible. The ct ratios for both main current and capacitor current are site programmable. Autosence feature: the unit, has an autosense feature to sense the delivered kvar for each bank. In addition to controlling the capacitor banks, it also displays various system parameters like voltages, load currents, capacitor currents, power-factor, kva, kw, system kvar, bank kvar and kwh on a 16 x 1 lcd display. The device is meant for use in three-phase four-wire lt electrical system. It measures the 3-phase voltages, three phase currents and the system power factor. Based on the above measured parameters, it first calculates the system kva and then the system kvar. Depending on this value, it switches on/off the required number of capacitor banks only to bring the kvar lagging value as close to zero as possible. Controller features: optimum utilisation of distribution transformer by reducing reactive component to near zero; accurate reactive compensation for industrial load; true rms measurement; in-built class 1.0 metering showing thirteen parameters, eliminates need for any other meter; and optional rs-232c port for logging complete data on ibm-compatible.
