Western electronic appliances offers gel time apparatus for testing polyseter resin at 25°c. It mainly consists of a stainless steel disc of specific dimensions fitted with a stainless steel rod of specific length concentric and normal to the above disc. This disc is given a simple reciprocating motion [up and down] with specified speed. This motion is achieved with the help of an electric motor through a reduction gear box, cam and belt pully drive system. The above disc and rod is kept inside a cylindrical container during the motion. The motion is provided in such way that the lowest position of disc remains 19 mm above the bottom of above cylinder. This cylinder can be kept in a hot water bath [not provided with this apparatus].
