The precision heavy duty external plunge grinding machine from rrmti is suitable for precision track grinding of inner race ball bearings, angular contact ball bearings, self-aligning ball bearings, taper roller bearing, cvj joints cage goti, grothic arc goti, bell and profile grinding of components. It can be used for one off production as well as for batch and mass production. In addition to parallel track grinding, the machine can be run on manual, single and continuous automatic grinding cycle. The table slides moves on a precision hand scraped v-flat guide ways with continuous lubrication. The wheel slide repeatability accuracy is ±1 micron, along with long life. The spindle pushbutton operates the grinding cycles automatically. The spindle runs on high precision multipoint hydrodynamic bearings, which gives very high rigidity and excellent surface finish. The spindle is made of alloy steel, specially heat-treated to achieve very high dimensional stability, accuracy and long life. The machine has a robust work head spindle with morse taper-5 nose. It also runs on carried-in multipoint hydrodynamic bearings. The radius dresser is mounted on a wheel head. A diamond holding swing arm is dual supported on preloaded taper roller bearings. An auto profile-dressing unit is optional. The hydraulic/electrical cabinet and coolant unit are housed outside the machine as separate units to facilitate maintenance.
