It is used for measuring q of inductors, in the range of 1 to 250 in two ranges, ie, 0-50 and 0-250 in the frequency range of 300 khz to 20 mhz; however, inductance and capacitance of the coils can be calculated indirectly.For stability of operation, regulated power supply is used. Modern transistor and ic circuits are used to measure capacitance, which ranges from 0-500 pf. The circuit consists of an rf signal generator, buffer amplifier, fet input, rf milli-voltmeter and regulated power supply.
