Mech-tex manufacturing offers a wide range of unidirectional and bidirectional synchronous motors coupled with various gearbox housings. Bi-directional synchronous motors find wide spread applications in motion control as reversible drive in valve actuators, dampers, recording instruments, dosing and projection devices, medical & lab equipment, cctvs, moving displays, machine automation, automatic vending machines, label printing machines, etc. At 0.5 rpm these motors have torques, such as mtr5: 50 kg-cm, mtr4: 150 kg-cm, mtrd4: 300 kg-cm, and mtrd7a: 600 kg-cm. Reversible motors due to their extra power can be used in high torque unidirectional applications. Uni-directional synchronous motors are simple in construction & advantage is its economy. The direction is determined by means of either electrical shading or a mechanical stopper [reverse running stop]. Motors with electrical shading have less power due to electrical losses. The advantage is silent running and infinite start stops. Hence they are used in timers, chart recorders, hour meters and drives of lower speeds. The common speeds are 1rpm, 4rph, 2rph, 1rph, 1rpd, 1rpw, etc. Motors with mechanical stopper [reverse running stop] have the advantage of power. Hence these are used in applications of higher speeds. The common speeds are 120rpm, 60rpm, 30rpm, 10rpm, 6rpm, 2rpm, 1rpm, etc.
