Mech-tex manufacturing co offers a range of gearboxes for miniature and stepper motors. Models 5, 6, 7 and 5-c have rationally combined sets of brass gears, housed in a pressure die cast aluminium casing. Model 8 contains heavily loaded metal spur gears and polished spindles are mounted between two metal plates. The pinion spindles and output shaft rotate in self lubricating sintered bronz bearings. Gears are permanently lubricated rendering them maintnance free. The output shaft is bedded in two brass bearings.
