Antimu engg co manufactures bearing mounting heater, model am 300a. This equipment caters to the requirement of mounting of bearings beyond the range of the fitting tool kit. As the bearing size increases, the force required for desired interference increases, making it impractical to use mechanical pressing forces. The heater comes complete with two coils, 1 kw-for a bore die of 55 mm to 100 mm and 1.75 kw for a bore dia of 100 mm to i50 mm as well as two pairs of high temperature gloves. The advantage in using the equipment are: ensures uniform and controlled heating of bearings; convenient and safe operation; equipped with digital temperature indicator and audio alarm; unlike oil bath heating, there is no danger of foreign particles entering the bearing during operation; can be used to heat other components as well; ideal for maintenance/light production work.
