On these machines the wheel head slide moves on precision preloaded linear bearing guideways having playfree frictionless movement to attain an immediate & accurate reaction to the feed movements. Wheel head spindles & workhead spindles are mounted on matched pair of precision [iso: p4 class] bearings. Workhead drives are through dc motors, which allows stepless speed variation over the entire working range. In order to attain maximum speed/feed for appropriate or suitable productivity & finishes, speed can be adjusted even while grinding. The work slide has fine feed that allows fine control of shoulder grinding & shoulder dimension.
