Karam brand high precision horizontal boring machines are widely used for machining bores in various types of gearboxes, machine bodies, for surface milling and also for large dia flange facing. With spindle sizes of 65, 80, 100, 110 and 125 mm, these are recommended for all classes of work. The casting is close-grained of grade 20 and adequately seasoned to ensure distortion-free rigid structure as it contains 25% steel and ferrochrome, etc. All gears, and especially the work spindle of machine, are made out of alloy steel, duly heat-treated and ground. All traverses of x, y and z-axis of the machine as well circular movement of the worktable are provided with automatic feeds and rapid travels.
