Shiva electronics offers photoelectric proximity switches. These switches are enclosed in abs plastic housings similar to that of imported switches. They are available in several attractive colours. They are light in weight and waterproof, and their fixing nuts are specially designed for perfect grip. These switches come in m18 diameter and length to m80. The unit includes a transmitter and a receiver in the same housing with a built-in amplifier. The switches require 10 to 24 v dc to operate. They offer npn or pnp transistor output to a maximum of 300 ma. It has sensing distances of 100 mm and 200 mm. The switches can detect opaque in addition to transparent objects such as plastic, paper, cloth, ferrous and non-ferrous metals. These are useful in regulating, controlling, and automatic processes such as packaging, food processing, chemical, pharmaceutical, automobile, cement and textile industries.
