Stephenson & co manufactures an all stainless steel twin screw pump for process industries which are very efficient, trouble free and need no maintenance. These twin screw pumps are capable of handling very high viscosity with certain percentage of solids and also which can handle abrasives. Twin screw pump consists a pair of profiled screws synchronized by a pair of hardened and profile ground timing gears to maintain a small clearance between the moving screws. This therefore ensure that there is no metal to metal contact and enables the pump to even run dry and can easily handle liquid without lubricating properties and of very high viscosities. Since there is no contacts between the moving screws wear and tear is reduced to minimum, giving extremely high service life. The pump comes with no rubber parts and very low internal velocities and minimum npsh. Both the screw move in opposite direction to give no axial thrust. Also sealing is always under suction pressure due to typical flow of the liquid, thus allowing to use simple seals.
