Burning of electric motors is very common nowadays. Reasons may be many like single phasing, low/high voltage, reverse phasing, phase imbalances, over loading, temperature rise, etc, are some for burning of the motor. Datar has developed a voltage sensing single phasing preventer which will protect the burn out of motors against the causes listed above. The relay in the unit automatically trips when it senses a fault. The negative sequence current generated due to phase failure/reverse phasing/voltage imbalance results in the electronic circuit being activated. If the fault persists for more than 2 to 3 seconds, the relay is de-energised and operates ihe circuit breakers. This will work the system voltage of 415 volt which will trip within 2-3 seconds. This will have 1 no + 1 nc contacts which can be connected in series with a no volt coil. This can be mounted in din rail standard 35 mm channels with suitable screws.
