San telequip has developed sc04u signal converter for rs232 signals conversion to rs485/ rs422. These signal converters are available with salient features like bi-directional device; standard 2- or 4-wire configuration; dip switches on front for selecting baud rate; etc. Some of the other technical specifications of the signal converters are 90 ohm/km standard cable impedance; rs485 signals; can be driven up to 1.2 km at 9600 bps baud rate.
