16 and 32 amp surface mounting socket of ip 44 / ip 67 acts as female connector and can be mated with male plugs. These sockets are suitable for mounting onto surfaces , which do not have a `recess` behind them. The sockets ensure that on mating the plugs remain at an angle to the surface, thereby reducing the total space required for installation. The surface mount housing is provided with a nipple to sustain the ip protection grade after insertion of cable.
