Stanley machine tools, a pioneer in the field of riveting technology, has introduced launched bench type prm series riveting machines. These machines which are controlled electronically allowing the use of unskilled operators. A handle at the rear allows major daylight adjustment, while a micromatic stop is used for fine adjustment. The micromatic stop has a least count of 0.01 mm allowing riveting to take place on fragile materials like plastic, etc. Due to advanced orbital riveting technology, the material grain structure is not disturbed giving stronger riveted joints. These riveting bench type machines have a range up to 10 mm solid ms and up to 12 mm in non-ferrous and hollow rivets. Since the riveting operation takes place in 2 to 3 seconds, a significant productivity boost over the conventional method is obtained. A bolster plate with t-slot is standard in these machines allowing easy location of fixtures and anvils. The machine comes totally tooled up, the customer just requires to connect air and electricity to start the machine. Free training is provided to production and maintenance staff as additional service.
