Aarco supplies an extensive range of heavy-duty winches in up to 50-tonne capacities to suit different site conditions and uses. They can perform hauling, lifting, well sinking and wagon shunting duties. The company supplies both electrical and mechanical winches. All designs are as per relevant is standards and also as per ipss, rsn or tisco standards. Aarco is one of the approved winch suppliers to all steel plants. The winches incorporate a high torque crane duty motor coupled with spur-helical or worm reduction gearbox. The gearbox rotates the rope drum which is supported on pedestals. An automatic electromagnetic or hydraulic thruster brake is provided between the motor and the gearbox for holding the load. The winch is mounted on a steel fabricated base frame and is controlled by pushbuttons, drum or master controllers. Direct drive is a dominant feature of these winches, totally eliminating chains and sprockets, and substantially increasing efficiency and reducing operating costs.
