Coir Made Area Rugs has been made by softening the husks in sea water and then pounded with stones to remove the woody portion. It is then combed and dried. This coir fiber is woven to many beautiful area rugs in different weaves and textures on ordinary handlooms in the villages of coastal Kerala.
