Industrial Grade Aleuritic Acid is soluble in hot water and crystallizes out on cooling the solution. The Acid has melting point from 94 to 110 ° C. The Industrial Grade Aleuritic Acid is used for synthesis of fragrances such as civetone, exaltone, ambrettolide and isoambrettolide.
