Product Profile of UV Protected Seal Joint

UV Protected Seal Joint is used for casting joints of concrete units used for manholes, box culverts, pipes and tunnel segments, building`s brick and block work, etc. The Joint is made using quality grade polymers and tar and is suitably blended with hydrocarbon and other ingredients. The Joint is non-staining type in nature and has UV protection. The Joint is effective and durable. The Joint consists of UV absorbers and ozone inhibitors to prevent any undesirable sensitivity to outdoor environments and the sealant does not depend on oxidizing, evaporating or chemical action for its adhesive or cohesive strength. The Joint is capable to withstand and accommodate joint movement with good recovery characteristics and can be easily cut by knife with no crumbs, fibres, and hence clean to work with. The Joint can be used in molten condition by warming up/ heating and does not disintegrate. The Joint is resistant to acids and alkalies, non-impregnated, non-bleeding and non-staining type in nature. The Joint does not discolour architectural substrates and water absorption is virtually non-existent. The Joint has specific gravity of 1.15 minimum, softening point at 90 ° C and has good flexibility, water tightness and is adhesion to concrete. The Joint is resistant to acids and alkalis, to microbiological environment and to chemical and biological attack. The Joint can be used after the joint surfaces have been coated with concorsol and is suitable as a joint seal between pre-cast concrete faces such as manhole covers, pipe joints of concrete and hume pipes conveying sewage, rainwater and surface water, culverts, and any concrete sections/ shapes. The Joint is used for sealing the joints of pre-cast concrete unit and is used for transportation of sewerage and water.
