Insulated Type Aerial Bunched Cable acts as load bearing wire and acts as earth or neutral conductor. The Cable eliminates the chances of power theft and is safe because phase conductors are insulated, no risk of danger of accidental touching live conductor. The Cable can be laid in places where, due to lack of space, power cables cannot be laid. The Cable is used where temporary installations or for those regions where building plans have not been fully approved and where existing over head distribution feeder capacity have to be upgrade without raising the system voltage with limited budget. The Cable has diameter from 19 to 32 mm and total mass from 250 to 640 kg/ km. The Cable has nominal cross section area of conductor from 25 to 50 square mm, maximum DC resistance at 20 & deg; C from 0.641 to 1.2 ohm/ km. The Insulated Type Aerial Bunched Cable has minimum average thickness from 1.2 to 1.5 mm.
