Industrial Grade Spiral Wound Gasket is made using alternate piles of preformed metal and soft non-metallic filler and the metal winding of the spiral seal is formed in to a configuration allowing good resiliency and self adjustment which enables spiral seal gasket to adjust automatically to change in operating condition such as, fluctuating pressure and temperature, thermal expansion or contraction, frequent or sudden vibration, minor flange separation and joint relaxation. The Gasket has inner and outer diameter are reinforced with several piles of metal winding only to give good stability compression and sealing characteristics and is suitable for tongue and groove of male and female or groove to flat face flange assemblies. The Gasket can be availed with a solid metal outer ring, which accurately centres gaskets on flange face, provide additional radial strength to prevent gasket blow out and act as compression stop and is suitable for use with flat face and raised face flanges. The Gasket works in almost all known corrosive and toxic condition and environment with suitable combination of winding and filler material. The Gasket has the feature that the installation is quick and simple and does not require good flange finish and it can be used where flange are mis-aligne or pitted. The Industrial Grade Spiral Wound Gasket has normal thickness ranging from 3.2 to 6.4 mm.
