Tecon brand gearboxes are manufactured since 1973. To meet the requirement of almost every industry, single reduction worm gear units are manufactured in different sizes and ratios in adoptable type as well as foot-mounted type. The product range includes various types of gearboxes and foot/flange mounted geared motors. Various constructional features of these gearboxes include: due to robust construction, increased efficiency, flexibility, interchangeability, compactness, dependability and reliability, these gearboxes are suitable for severe operating conditions by means of right selection. Bs and is standards are used as applicable. The gears totally conform to bs 721/1963 and is 3734-1966 for worm gearing. The housing is made of close grain top quality cast iron liberablly designed to store adequate quantity of oil so as to achieve higher thermal ratings. Bearing housings are perfectly bored to ensure perfect alignment. The housing is totally dust proof and oil tight. These gearboxes are provided with large cooling fins on both sides with maximum surface area exposed to atmosphere for improved efficiency. Worm and worm shaft is of single piece accurately made out of high-grade alloy steel and is highly polished. To ensure complete oil tight, superior quality oil seals are used. Gears and bearings are automatically and positively lubricated at all speeds by splash of oil from the sump. Thus no special attention is necessary except periodically checking the oil level [a separate oil indicator is provided].
