AC to DC Rectifier Unit is used in the electrical engineering laboratories and has input and output range such as 415 volts, 3 phase A.C 50 Hz and 0 to 250 volts respectively. The Rectifier Unit has a continuously variable auto transformer of adequate capacity with motorised control and on/ off switch with contactor and also manual correction facility and an isolated 3 phase transformer of input 0 to 415 volts, star connected, output 0 to 250 volts, delta connected, air cooled with 10% overloading capacity. The Rectifier Unit has rectifier circuit block to connect with suitable heat sink and ripple soothning choke is connected to reduce the ripple at the output. The Rectifier Unit comes housed in well ventilated mild steel cabinet duly powder coated and all controlling devices are brought out and terminated on top panel duly marked for easy operation and the unit is floor mounting type with suitable castors for easy transportation. The AC to DC Rectifier Unit is designed with a miniature circuit breaker to protect the variac and transformer for possible short circuit and has ADC circuit breaker in output to protect the unit from output short circuit.
