Spring Loaded Type Safety Valve protects the primary loop of pressurized water reactor against over pressure. The Valve opens and releases medium from pressurize to the flash tank. The Valve controls the pressure in a system, which can build up by a process upset, instrument or equipment failure or fire. The Spring Loaded Type Safety Valve ensures that the pressure is relieved by allowing the pressurized fluid to flow from an auxiliary passage out of the system.
