Applications of Horizontal Split Casing Pump:
Key Features of Horizontal Split Casing Pump
- Axially split in design with single or double stage construction and single or double suction volute casings
- Available in hydraulic design for optimum performance with stable operating characteristics
- Horizontal, axially split, volute casing with supporting feet cast integrally or mounted separately depending upon the type of pump
- Suction and discharge connections are cast with lower casing for ease of maintenance. Rotating assembly can be taken out without disturbing the piping connections
- Impellers are dynamically balanced and are placed back to back in double stage pumps of HH and QH designs for balancing axial hydraulic thrust
- Sealing is provided by gland packing or mechanical seals. Shafts are protected by shaft sleeves under stuffing box
