Product Profile of Industrial Grade Caustic Soda
Industrial grade Caustic Soda is available in the form of lye, as solid and as flakes. The Caustic Soda is highly soluble in water and is practically insoluble in most organic solvents except alcohols. The Caustic Soda is odourless and finds application in various industrial purposes. The Industrial grade Caustic Soda melts at the temperature of 320 degree C and boils at 1390 degree C.
Application of the Industrial grade Caustic Soda:
- Digestion of wood and bagasse for manufacture of pulp and paper
- Digestion of wood for manufacture of viscose staple fibre, viscose filament yarn and rayon tyre cord
- Manufacture of soaps and detergents
- Digestion of aluminium ore to make alumina as an intermediate in the production of aluminium
- Bleaching and processing of cotton textiles
- Regeneration of ion-exchanger sins in water treatment plants
