Water Soluble Methylene Phosphonic Acid is an organophosphonate exhibiting excellent sequestration of metal ions at stoichiometric concentration and threshold inhibition of metal salt precipitation at sub-stoichiometric concentrations. The Methylene Phosphonic Acid is applied in scouring process to remove iron and water hardness ions in order to achieve better fabric whiteness, prevention of staining due to iron deposits and prevention of fabric damage during bleaching caused by embedded copper or iron fragments. The Methylene Phosphonic Acid is useful under severe operating conditions of temperature, pressure, and salinity. The Water Soluble Methylene Phosphonic Acid is good calcium compatibility.
