Speedfam single side lapping/polishing are versatile precision machines designed to produce lap/polish flat surfaces within a flatness of 1 light band [0.3 micron] or less and surface finish of 0.02 ra with absolute uniformity on almost all types of hard materials.
Working principle
-lap/polish plates revolves at slow speed.
-the conditioning rings held in position on the machine plate also rotate freely.
-the work pieces are kept freely inside conditioning rings

The machine plate get charged in the plate and cuts the

Plates flatness on to the work piece surface.
The surface finish produced on the work piece depends upon abrasive particle size used in the process.
