Triphenyl Phosphate is used principally as a non-solvent plasticizer for cellulose acetate films. The Phosphate has maximum 80% retentivity and offers flexibility and toughness to the films. The Phosphate is also used for the growing polymer chain for the manufacture of polyester fibre. Triphenyl Phosphate is also ideal for phenol formaldehyde, decorative laminated sheets etc.
